Where to find seriously good bar food (and beer) plus Texas-style barbecue
Today, Eater returns to Cleveland, Ohio, to focus on 13 new restaurants and bars that have been garnering some serious buzz. Once again, dining editor, cookbook author, and Cleveland resident Douglas Trattner has offered up his picks for the hottest openings of the past year.
“Cleveland, if you haven’t been paying attention, has been on a culinary tear over the last decade or more,” Trattner notes. “This year is no different: a busy calendar filled with fun, delicious, and compelling new entries into the North Coast food and drink landscape.” On the list are representatives of a number of current culinary trends, including craft breweries (Noble Beast Brewing, Collision Bend Brewery), Texas-style barbecue (Smokin' Q's BBQ and Beer House), high-end butchers (Ohio City Provisions, Saucisson), and a bar with games for grownups (Hi and Dry Bowling and Beer).
