Where to find Florentine steak, Breton galettes, and South American comfort food
Today, Eater returns to Paris, France, to check in on the newest dining destinations the city has on offer. Once again, food writer Alexander Lobrano, who has lived in the French capital for 30 years, selects his picks for the unmissable openings of the past 12 months.
“Paris has never been more cosmopolitan than it is this fall,” Lobrano says. On his list, Mediterranean dishes from an American chef at the Palais de Tokyo (Preston Miller’s Les Grands Verres), a modern bistro from a Mexican chef (Indra Carrillo’s La Condesa), and South American flavors at the revival of a former fashion-industry hangout (Anahi). As traditional French institutions “continue to get a needed makeover,” diners are also looking forward to chef Alain Ducasse’s forthcoming reboot of Spoon in a new location at the old Paris stock market.
For Paris’s essential stalwarts, head to the Paris 38, and for an even more comprehensive look at the City of Light, check out Eater’s Guide to Paris. But here now, in geographic order, the Eater Heatmap to Paris:
